Job Type Contract

Step into a meaningful opportunity where your expertise impacts a medically fragile, bed-bound middle school student’s life. This contract role seeks a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC credentials, ideally bilingual in Spanish and English, to deliver direct, in-person support. You’ll collaborate alongside an OT and PT, forming a holistic team to help the student progress and thrive. Consistency and compassion are key, as the district values a provider ready to build a strong, lasting relationship with both the student and their family.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • Current state SLP license
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred (or willing to collaborate with an interpreter)
  • Previous school-based or pediatric SLP experience is advantageous
  • Strong communication skills and empathy working with medically complex children
  • Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered, individualized care

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 2.5 hours per week of in-person speech-language therapy, as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with OT and PT to support overall student goals
  • Provide ongoing updates and recommendations to staff and family
  • Ensure clear, culturally responsive communication with non-English-speaking parents
  • Remain flexible to potential increases in hours as the student’s needs evolve

This year-round position offers the rare chance for consistent, impactful work with one student, extending to the end of the 2027 school year and beyond. You’ll find work that makes a difference, autonomy in your clinical approach, and the support of an invested district team.

If you’re committed to fostering meaningful progress for students with complex needs, submit your application today. Make your expertise count where it’s needed most.
