Make a meaningful difference in students’ lives as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist working with elementary learners. You’ll support children’s communication and academic success at a dynamic school located near West Chester, PA. Key qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Pennsylvania state SLP licensure (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred, CFY considered
- Experience working with elementary-age students in school settings strongly valued
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, able to support a busy caseload
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting screenings, evaluations, and diagnostic assessments of students’ speech, language, and communication skills
- Designing and delivering direct therapy and interventions to students with varied needs
- Collaborating closely with teachers, special education staff, and families
- Writing thorough, timely documentation and reports, including progress monitoring and recommendations
- Attending and contributing to IEP meetings
- Providing strategies and support for classroom integration and skill generalization
This contract assignment kicks off with teachers arriving August 24 and students beginning August 31. Staff hours run from 8:20 AM to 3:45 PM, supporting an engaging and energetic school day in a positive team atmosphere.
