This is an excellent position for Speech-Language Pathologists dedicated to making a meaningful impact in educational settings, working with both elementary and middle school populations. The assignment spans from August through May and offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
Bring your skills to a role where you’ll collaborate with education staff and families across two diverse school environments. The caseload typically ranges from 45-50 students, giving you the space to develop strong therapeutic relationships while seeing a variety of speech and language challenges. Both experienced SLPs and candidates completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are encouraged to apply.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current or pending Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility to complete CFY
- Valid SLP license or eligibility for licensure in South Carolina
- Prior experience working in schools, pediatrics, or healthcare preferred
- Skilled in evaluating and developing treatment plans for children with diverse speech/language needs
- Strong communication and collaborative skills with educators, families, and fellow specialists
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments for speech, language, and communication disorders
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct therapy services to K-8 students across both elementary and middle school settings
- Document progress, attend IEP meetings, and maintain compliance with school and state guidelines
- Provide consultative services and training to staff and families as needed
