Step into a meaningful role supporting students’ communication development as a contract Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in Connecticut. Working across two vibrant campuses, you’ll have the opportunity to engage with K-5 students in Manchester and 6-12 students in Bloomfield, making a difference for learners at multiple stages of their educational journey. This full-time assignment runs from ASAP through mid-June, covering the end of the school year, with a manageable caseload of 5-7 students per location and 30-40 hours per week.

Qualifications & Experience

  • SLPA licensure in the state of Connecticut
  • Experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with supervising SLPs and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Commitment to fostering student growth and addressing individual needs
  • SLP-CCC, SLP-School credentials valued, but SLPA is the primary focus
  • Ability to adapt to both elementary and middle/high school environments

Core Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct speech-language services under supervision of a licensed SLP
  • Implement individualized IEP goals and track student progress
  • Prepare engaging, age-appropriate therapy materials and activities
  • Maintain clear and thorough records of sessions and student outcomes
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to IEP planning as required
  • Communicate effectively with students, educators, and, when appropriate, families
  • Travel between Manchester (K-5) and Bloomfield (6-12) campuses as scheduled
