This position covers multiple leave windows and will run for 35 hours per week. There are two openings available, ideal for professionals eager to make an impact within the school setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid CT SLP-CCC license required
- Completed Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Previous experience in school-based SLP roles preferred
- Strong communication, assessment, and individualized education program (IEP) skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Organized, flexible, and responsive to diverse student needs
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students at two schools
- Complete assessments and evaluations as needed
- Develop and implement IEPs, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress notes
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture
- Participate in team meetings and planning sessions as needed
