Step into a pivotal role providing vital speech and language services within a supportive school environment near West Hartford, CT. Two full-time, onsite contract positions are available to cover upcoming maternity leaves. These roles offer a meaningful opportunity to work collaboratively with educators, students, and families, making a genuine difference throughout the school year.

Position Details:

  • First opening: Coverage needed end of September through mid-December
  • Second opening: Coverage required mid-November through the beginning of January
  • Both positions are full-time (35 hours/week), serving students across grades K-12

Key Qualifications:

  • Hold an active Connecticut SLP license (upfront licensure highly preferred)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC) required
  • Recent experience in a school-based setting working with K-12 students
  • Willingness to work onsite—remote opportunities are not available for these assignments
  • District fingerprinting and successful background check mandatory prior to start
  • SLPAs are not eligible; only CCCs will be considered
  • Ready to complete a Zoom interview as part of the selection process

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students based on IEP goals
  • Conduct assessments, create individualized treatment plans, and document progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student success
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide consultative support as needed
