Make a meaningful impact supporting elementary students by providing speech and language services in a welcoming educational environment near West Hartford, CT. This full-time, onsite opportunity offers two positions for experienced speech-language pathologists (SLPs, CCC strongly preferred) serving elementary caseloads. The role may involve working across two school locations within the district, ensuring a dynamic and varied experience.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current, active Connecticut SLP license
  • Completion of all district fingerprinting and background checks
  • Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or equivalent field
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC) is highly encouraged; Clinical Fellows (CFs) considered with district approval for supervision
  • Demonstrated school-based experience required
  • Ability to work onsite and adapt to multiple elementary campuses as needed
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • SLPAs are not being considered for this position

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to elementary students, in individual and group settings
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support student growth
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings, providing insight to help shape student learning plans
  • Maintain accurate records and timely documentation in compliance with federal, state, and district standards
  • Participate in virtual interviews via Zoom as part of the selection process

This is a dynamic contract position for those passionate about student success and dedicated to evidence-based therapy. Prior completion or possession of all relevant licenses is advantageous, expediting your onboarding process.
