Apply NowA contract opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide specialized services within a high school setting focused on students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. This position is ideal for an SLP with experience in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) services, supporting personalized education that fosters independence in a compassionate, supportive environment.
Location & Schedule:
- Assignment located in Ludlow, MA at a high school program designed for students requiring tailored support.
- Contract duration from July 6, 2026, to August 7, 2026, with potential extension into the 2026-2027 school year.
- Part-time hours: 15-20 hours per week across 2-3 days.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech and language services to high school students, focusing on communication needs related to ASD and learning differences.
- Provide AAC services, addressing users’ unique communication strategies; evaluation experience is not mandatory.
- Collaborate with educational staff to implement effective communication interventions within the Compass High Program.
- Support the development of communication skills that promote student independence in and out of traditional classroom settings.
Qualifications:
- Must meet all state licensure requirements for speech-language pathology in educational settings.
- Certified SLP with School Clinical Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working in specialized school environments or with populations exhibiting ASD.
- Demonstrated competence in AAC service delivery.
