Make a genuine impact working as a full-time, in-person Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) supporting students in a school-based setting near Portland, ME. You’ll work closely with a diverse caseload of 20 students, each with unique communication abilities, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals through individualized therapy.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Valid SLP state license (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Previous experience in a school-based environment preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Organizational skills to manage documentation and scheduling

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy to students with varying communication needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educational staff
  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments, evaluations, and progress monitoring
  • Consult and communicate regularly with educators and families to maximize student support
  • Maintain timely and thorough documentation of services provided
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to a positive learning environment
  • Offer strategies and resources to classroom staff for individualized student support
