Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active CCC-SLP certification
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- At least one year of experience in a pediatric or school-based setting strongly preferred
- Proficient in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for a variety of communication disorders
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with teachers, administrators, and families
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for elementary students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Provide direct speech-language therapy focused on students’ academic and social communication goals
- Monitor progress, document data, and adjust interventions as appropriate
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and other support staff to foster student success
- Consult regularly with families to communicate progress and recommend strategies for home practice
