This position is based within a collaborative, supportive program that tailors instruction to individual strengths and builds skills essential for independence beyond high school.
Your expertise will be central to fostering communication and growth for students who benefit from alternative learning environments. You’ll also guide and supervise a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, playing a key role in shaping the quality of services delivered.
Qualifications:
- Active, state-specific licensure to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP–CCC required)
- Demonstrable experience supporting students in school settings, particularly with ASD and related needs
- Strong background working with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices
- Previous experience supervising SLPAs (preferred)
- Commitment for the full contract term, August 27, 2026 – June 22, 2027 (dates subject to final school calendar)
- Reliable transportation to the Ludlow, MA assignment site
Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based assessment, therapy, and communication interventions for high school students in the Compass High Program
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to individualize supports and strategies
- Supervise and mentor an SLPA to ensure high standards of care
- Keep timely records and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
- Utilize AAC devices and technology to support student engagement and growth
