Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a K-12 school environment for the full academic year. This position offers a structured Monday through Friday schedule (7:45 AM – 3:00 PM), running from September 8, 2026, through June 24, 2027. You’ll work with a diverse mix of students, providing approximately 40 half-hour sessions each week, making a meaningful difference in their communication and academic success.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid and current SLP license or eligibility for licensure in New York
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Prior experience providing speech therapy services in a K-12 school setting
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques for students across a wide range of ages and needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy sessions (30 minutes each), up to 40 sessions per week
- Administer assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor student progress
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with district and legal guidelines
- Adjust interventions to meet a variety of learning and communication challenges
- Advocate for students’ speech and language development within the school community
