Desired Qualifications:
• Valid state licensure and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Previous experience working in school settings, preferably with high school students
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Adept at both evaluating students and designing effective, student-centered therapy plans
• Proficiency in collaboration with educators, families, and related service staff
• Organizational skills to manage documentation and therapy schedules efficiently
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with school and state guidelines
• Provide direct therapy to a diverse group of high school students, tailoring approaches to each learner’s unique needs
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of student progress and services delivered
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other specialists
• Participate in IEP meetings, contributing your expertise to ensure comprehensive student support
• Engage families in the therapy process and offer guidance for continued growth outside the classroom
