Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Eligibility for Connecticut state licensure as an SLP
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
- Strong assessment, documentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to design and individualize therapy for a variety of communication needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, families, and school staff
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to elementary students
- Collaborate with teachers, aides, and other professionals to support student goals
- Maintain accurate, timely progress notes and required documentation
- Offer guidance to families regarding progress and ongoing strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and continuing education in speech-language pathology
