Speech Language Pathologist in Westport, CT

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Eligibility for Connecticut state licensure as an SLP
• Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
• Strong assessment, documentation, and organizational skills
• Ability to design and individualize therapy for a variety of communication needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, families, and school staff

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Provide direct speech and language therapy to elementary students
• Collaborate with teachers, aides, and other professionals to support student goals
• Maintain accurate, timely progress notes and required documentation
• Offer guidance to families regarding progress and ongoing strategies
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
• Stay up-to-date with best practices and continuing education in speech-language pathology
