Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting elementary and middle school students’ communication skills in a dynamic educational environment. This onsite role offers the chance to make a direct impact, working with a diverse caseload of around 60 students. The assignment runs from August 4, 2026, through May 26, 2027, with a standard workweek of 37.5 hours. You’ll collaborate with dedicated educational teams, typically stationed at a single school, with occasional support at a second location.

Ideal candidates will bring a student-centered mindset and a passion for fostering positive outcomes. Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply, and those with their CCC-SLP may have opportunities to supervise, enhancing professional growth.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current SLP licensure in Alabama (ASHA accredited)
  • Possession of a professional educator license for Alabama (see certification details at the Alabama Department of Education website)
  • Experience or comfort working with school-aged children
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Willingness to oversee and mentor if CCC-SLP is held
  • Comfortable managing a caseload in both elementary and middle school settings
  • Contract experience in a school-based environment preferred, but not required
  • Clinical Fellows encouraged to apply

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy and conduct assessments for students with speech and language needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school teams to support student progress
  • Manage required documentation and progress reports
  • Travel between schools as needed (generally one, occasionally two sites)
  • Provide supervision and mentorship as required for Clinical Fellows
