Apply NowStep into a rewarding role as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting a diverse group of students in elementary school settings near White River Junction, VT. This contract opportunity runs from September 3 through June 10, providing you the chance to make an impactful difference throughout the academic year. Work a consistent schedule—Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM—with a weekly commitment of 22.5 hours.
Your work will take place across Woodstock Elementary School and Reading Elementary School, serving a caseload of 30 children from PreK through 6th grade. These students present with typical speech and language needs, giving you the opportunity to apply your expertise in a focused, supportive environment.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Active SLP license, with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Previous school-based experience or familiarity with PreK–6th grade populations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to design and facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions
- Commitment to in-person service delivery (teletherapy is not utilized)
- Adaptable and creative approach when addressing diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments, interpret results, and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver speech and language therapy tailored to student goals
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families for holistic student support
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Serve as a resource for school staff regarding best practices in communication development
Candidates with a demonstrated passion for collaborating with young children and educators, or unique experience with elementary populations, will particularly stand out.
