This full-time contract position is based in the Muskegon, MI area and focuses on enhancing student communication within an engaging elementary school environment. The caseload includes services for both public and non-public schools supported by the district, allowing you to make a positive impact across educational settings.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current SLP-CCC certification required
  • Michigan licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility to obtain)
  • School-based experience strongly preferred
  • Solid understanding of supporting elementary-aged learners with speech and language needs
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and provide direct intervention for students with speech and language disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to share strategies for supporting student success
  • Provide both direct and consultative services to non-public schools as required by the district
  • Maintain timely, accurate records of student progress and services delivered
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable expertise to student support teams
