Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Current, active SLP license for the state
  • Prior experience providing speech therapy in a school environment preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and goal setting
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to build rapport with students, families, and multidisciplinary staff

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students’ speech and language needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s goals
  • Deliver direct therapy services to students ranging from mild to complex communication challenges
  • Track progress, maintain accurate records, and update goals as needed
  • Consult with teachers, staff, and families to support carryover of strategies in the classroom and at home
  • Participate in IEP meetings and serve as a resource for speech and language instruction
  • Stay current with best practices and compliance requirements in school-based speech pathology
