Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Whittier, CA

Skills and Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain (CCC-SLP or CFY considered)
• Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
• Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
• Strong documentation and report writing skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
• Deliver direct and indirect therapy services as outlined in students’ IEPs
• Work collaboratively with educators, staff, and families to support student success and ensure compliance with all educational guidelines
• Maintain ongoing progress monitoring and accurate documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and professional development as needed
• Provide resources and support to teachers and caregivers to facilitate generalization of communication skills
