School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Whittier, California

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing speech-language pathology (SLP) services in a dynamic school setting. You’ll serve students across the LA area, with assignments at one to four schools (average of two), all within a guaranteed commute cap of one hour or 20 miles. Your expertise will make a meaningful impact on students’ communication development, with full-time hours (7:30am–4:00pm, Monday through Friday) available from now through early June 2027.

With a manageable caseload of 55–60 students, you’ll work with a varied age group in a collaborative environment where case managers are assigned at each campus, allowing you to focus on assessment and direct therapy. This role is strictly onsite; remote opportunities are not available.

What We’re Looking For:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active California SLP License
• Valid CTC document: preliminary or clear SLP credential, or Certificate of Clearance
• SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY status; CFs considered if supervision is in place (no SLPA’s)
• Experience in school settings preferred
• Ability to adapt to flexible, itinerant assignments across multiple sites
• Commitment to full-time, on-site work; no part-time options at this time

Your Role Will Involve:

• Delivering speech-language therapy to students with a range of communication needs
• Conducting evaluations, developing goals, and implementing individualized treatment plans
• Collaborating with educators and campus case managers
• Maintaining documentation and progress reports per district standards
• Utilizing district-reimbursed assessment materials

Candidates will receive reimbursement for assessment materials, budgeting around $2500. This contract runs through June 4, 2027.
