Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing vital speech-language services to an elementary school population. Put your expertise to work supporting a community of over 60 students, many in mild to moderate special day classes. Your skills will help foster communication and learning for children in supportive, inclusive settings.

You’ll work closely with educators and a collaborative SLPA for two days per week, making a difference for students across three SDC classes as well as general education. Teletherapy options are available, adding flexibility to the role. This position is ideal for professionals with SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY credentials, including those with experience in pediatric, school-based, or healthcare settings. You will have the chance to help shape young students’ lives at a site located near Whittier and Azusa, CA.

Qualifications:

  • Current SLP-CCC or CFY credentials; California licensure required
  • Experience in pediatric or elementary populations preferred
  • Familiarity with mild/moderate caseloads and SDC class structures
  • Knowledge of teletherapy and best practices for remote service delivery
  • Strong collaboration skills with educators, paraprofessionals, and families
  • Commitment to developing creative, individualized communication strategies

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments, develop individualized plans, and provide direct speech-language therapy
  • Collaborate with special educators, SLPA support, and school teams to implement effective interventions
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate, compliant records
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contribute expertise to student support strategies
  • Utilize teletherapy platforms as needed for flexible service delivery

Compensation is offered at $50–$60 per hour, recognizing your valuable skills and dedication to student success.
