Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Whittier, CA

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing vital speech-language services to an elementary school population. Put your expertise to work supporting a community of over 60 students, many in mild to moderate special day classes. You’ll work closely with educators and a collaborative SLPA for two days per week, making a difference for students across three SDC classes as well as general education. Teletherapy options are available, adding flexibility to the role. This position is ideal for professionals with SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY credentials, including those with experience in pediatric, school-based, or healthcare settings. You will have the chance to help shape young students’ lives at a site located near Whittier and Azusa, CA.

Qualifications:

• Current SLP-CCC or CFY credentials; California licensure required
• Experience in pediatric or elementary populations preferred
• Familiarity with mild/moderate caseloads and SDC class structures
• Knowledge of teletherapy and best practices for remote service delivery
• Strong collaboration skills with educators, paraprofessionals, and families
• Commitment to developing creative, individualized communication strategies

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments, develop individualized plans, and provide direct speech-language therapy
• Collaborate with special educators, SLPA support, and school teams to implement effective interventions
• Document student progress and maintain accurate, compliant records
• Participate in IEP meetings, contribute expertise to student support strategies
• Utilize teletherapy platforms as needed for flexible service delivery
