With a manageable caseload of approximately 40 students, you’ll have the chance to make a meaningful impact throughout the full academic year, working exclusively within one building for a cohesive experience.
You'll have dedicated time to develop functional communication strategies, while a smaller group will need your expertise in language development and articulation. The collaborative school environment ensures you’re well-equipped to address each student’s unique needs.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license and SLP-CCC certification
- Experience (or a strong interest) working with high school students, ideally in low-incidence or life skills programs
- Solid grounding in functional communication and evidence-based interventions across a range of student abilities
- Strong collaborative skills and a positive, student-centered approach
- Ability to manage a caseload and provide documentation that reflects student growth and progress
- Comfort working as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy that enhances functional communication
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s needs
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress notes
- Communicate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal planning
This contract runs the length of the school year, Monday–Friday, from approximately 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM. For your convenience, interviews can be scheduled onsite or virtually.
