Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity supporting students in kindergarten through 4th grade as either an SLP or SLPA on a contract basis for the upcoming school year. Spend your days in a vibrant elementary environment, serving a diverse group of 35 students with varied needs—including essential skills, cross-categorical support, and speech-only services. This full-time assignment (37.5–40 hours per week) spans from August 10, 2026, through the end of the school year, allowing you to immerse yourself in a dynamic educational setting and truly make a difference.
What we’re seeking:
- Active SLP-CCC or SLPA license (state requirements must be met)
- Prior experience in pediatrics, healthcare, or school-based speech therapy
- Expertise in providing therapy, evaluations, and intervention planning for elementary-aged students
- Strong skills in documentation and progress monitoring
- Understanding of IEPs and collaborative approaches with teaching staff
- Capability and interest in SLPA supervision (for SLP applicants)
- Clear communication and rapport-building abilities with young learners and families
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group speech-language therapy services across multiple classroom models, adapting approaches as needed
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and track measurable progress
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to support each student’s growth
- Participate in IEP meetings, service planning, and multidisciplinary teams
- Oversee and provide mentorship to SLPA staff in accordance with best practices (for SLP roles)
- Maintain accurate records and complete all necessary documentation in a timely manner
