Job Type Contract

Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting young learners as a School Speech-Language Pathologist for the full 2026-27 academic year. This part-time role (14-21 hours per week) focuses on PreK through 2nd grade students, providing a meaningful chance to help children build foundational communication skills. The caseload centers primarily on students with Speech or Language Impairments (SLI) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), with some students presenting articulation challenges.

You’ll collaborate closely with a supportive team, including an SLPA who covers many of the direct service hours. Four students utilize AAC devices, and additional support and training are contracted out to specialists, giving you the tools and resources you need to provide effective interventions. Periodic assessments for new referrals may add variety and depth to your responsibilities throughout the school year.

Your expertise and compassion will have a lasting impact in a nurturing educational environment, helping every child reach their fullest communication potential.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • State licensure (or eligibility) in Speech-Language Pathology
  • School-based experience with PreK-2nd grade populations preferred
  • Familiarity supporting students with SLI, ASD, and AAC devices
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted speech-language therapy to a diverse caseload
  • Adapt interventions for AAC users, leveraging contracted AAC supports
  • Conduct assessments—especially for new referrals—as needed
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, special educators, and fellow therapists
  • Document student progress and maintain detailed records
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning

Enjoy the flexibility of a part-time schedule within a dynamic school setting, and make a difference every day in students’ lives. Ready to inspire young learners and contribute your skills? Submit your application to grow your career while impacting tomorrow’s communicators!
