Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working with students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). This full-time, in-person assignment focuses on supporting communication development and directly impacting the lives of students ages 26-27. Two dedicated SLPs are needed to make a meaningful difference alongside other passionate professionals in an educational setting close to Wilmington, DE.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in SLP
- Active state licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for assigned students
- Deliver direct therapy services to individuals and small groups, targeting IEP goals
- Develop, update, and implement individualized treatment plans
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, providing professional recommendations and progress reports
- Clearly communicate therapy progress, strategies, and recommendations to educators and families
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate language and communication strategies into daily curriculum
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with local and federal regulations
