This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to work primarily with younger learners, supporting their communication development in a welcoming and collaborative school environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in North Carolina (or eligibility for license)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required
  • Experience working in a school setting, especially at the elementary level, is preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with teachers, faculty, and families
  • Organized and adaptable, with a student-centered approach

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in elementary-aged school children
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal laws
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and other specialists to support students’ learning and progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation and complete progress reports for student caseload
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and family conferences as needed
  • Provide guidance and support for staff members in classroom strategies and accommodations
