Qualifications and Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but not required
- Previous experience working with school-aged children is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to meet individual student needs, including those with diverse backgrounds or unique challenges
- Commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with speech, language, and communication challenges
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services in both individual and small group settings
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support student progress
- Provide ongoing reporting, updates, and progress monitoring as outlined in IEPs and district guidelines
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational strategies
- Maintain detailed records in accordance with school, state, and federal standards
