Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP in Massachusetts
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
- Previous experience working in a school environment or with pediatric populations
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families
- Commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in school-aged children
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Document progress and maintain thorough, timely records in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including special education staff and classroom teachers
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development sessions
- Provide consultative support and strategies for educators and families
- Foster a positive, engaging atmosphere that encourages student participation and growth
