Key Qualifications:
- Active Virginia SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Previous school-based SLP experience highly desirable
- Ability to provide speech-language evaluations, develop IEP goals, and deliver direct therapy services
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working with students, educators, and families
- Proficiency with remote therapy platforms for those considering virtual work
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy to diverse student populations
- Evaluate students’ communicative abilities and complete assessments as part of the IEP process
- Write concise, actionable reports and help formulate individual education plans (IEPs)
- Provide both individual and group sessions tailored to students’ unique needs
- Consult and collaborate with educators and families to optimize learning outcomes
- Maintain timely documentation and records in accordance with school and state standards
