Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students with speech and language needs in a nurturing educational environment. This position is full-time, beginning July 28 (teacher orientation) with classes starting August 5, and offers flexibility for a long-term or full school year commitment—with the potential to extend through May 19, 2027. You’ll work 30-40 hours per week, serving a manageable caseload of 35-45 students. The focus is on providing pull-out speech therapy in general education settings, primarily targeting general language and articulation skills.
Qualifications & Preferences:
- Valid SLP license required; ASHA certification preferred
- Speech Language Associates (SLAs) are welcome—must meet state PSC requirements and actively work towards SLP licensure
- Strong organizational skills and effective communication with staff, students, and families
- Collaborative attitude and team-oriented mindset are highly valued
- Passion for working in a school environment and supporting diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to general education students through individual or small group sessions
- Assess, diagnose, and document student progress on communication goals
- Collaborate closely with teachers and parents to ensure consistent support and progress monitoring
- Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Stay current with state and district compliance standards
