This is a full-time position covering a maternity leave from August through December, serving an elementary caseload. Your expertise will be valued as you collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to foster student success in a supportive and dynamic school environment.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Maryland state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school setting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Team-oriented mindset and collaborative approach
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students’ speech, language, and communication skills
- Develop and implement effective, data-driven therapy plans
- Work with a diverse caseload of elementary students, addressing varied speech and language needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal-setting and progress monitoring
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to support student growth
- Maintain accurate documentation and confidential records
- Deliver services both individually and in small groups as required by students’ needs
