This position focuses on a high school population with a small caseload, allowing for more personalized interactions and the ability to make a significant impact on each student’s progress and confidence.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license for Maryland
- SLP experience in school settings preferred
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Comfortable working with high school students
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for high school-aged students
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement individualized service plans
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and required documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing student evaluations
- Provide direct and consultative SLP services tailored to a small caseload
- Stay current with best practices and compliance requirements in school-based SLP services
