This position serves two welcoming school communities and offers a meaningful chance to make an impact from September 3 to June 10, with a steady 22.5-hour work week. Hours are conveniently structured from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., allowing for a balanced schedule.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience with PreK–6th grade populations and a variety of typical communication needs
- Ability to travel between two nearby elementary schools as required
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to engage with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to on-site service delivery; teletherapy is not an option for this role
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy to a diverse caseload of 30 students, supporting ages PreK through 6th grade
- Conduct evaluations, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and document progress
- Collaborate with teachers and interdisciplinary teams to promote student success in communication
- Offer guidance and resources to families and staff on effective speech and language strategies
- Engage in school community activities, advocating for inclusive practices
