This full-time opportunity covers a maternity leave from September 4, 2026, to December 11, 2026, located near Winnetka, IL, in the North Chicago area. You'll work onsite, guiding elementary and middle school students and collaborating with a dedicated team of educators and support professionals.

Your expertise will help students overcome communication barriers and thrive academically during a pivotal moment in their education journey. This contract position offers a stable Monday through Friday schedule, totaling 37.5 hours each week.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Current, active Illinois SLP license (required)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous experience in school settings with elementary or middle school students
  • Excellent collaborative and communication skills
  • Ability to commit onsite for the full duration of the assignment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in a school-based caseload
  • Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and targeted interventions
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, tracking progress and adjusting strategies as needed
  • Work closely with educators, administrators, and families to support each child's growth
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and state requirements
