Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students’ communication needs from ASAP through June 2027. This role is based in the Winsted, CT area, working full time—Monday through Friday (35-37.5 hours per week)—and is ideal for passionate Speech-Language Pathologists eager to make a meaningful impact in a school setting. Two SLPs are needed to manage K-12 caseloads spanning multiple school sites, fostering growth among students across a diverse age range.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Active Connecticut Speech-Language Pathologist license required
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) must be current
  • Previous experience providing speech/language services in a school environment strongly preferred
  • Capacity to independently manage a K-12 caseload and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation abilities
  • Committed to in-person service delivery; remote work is not available

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapeutic interventions for students with speech and language disorders
  • Conduct thorough evaluations, write comprehensive reports, and maintain compliant documentation
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and specialists to create supportive learning environments
  • Monitor student progress, adjust therapy plans as needed, and contribute actively to IEP meetings
  • Serve as an advocate for students’ communication needs across multiple schools in the district
