Are you a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist ready for a dynamic contract role serving students in North Carolina? Make an impact by supporting learners in a school-based setting, providing essential speech and language services while working alongside passionate professionals. This full-time opportunity begins in August and continues through June, offering a structured schedule of 35-37.5 hours per week. The district will consider both experienced SLP-CCC and SLP Clinical Fellows (CF), with district supervision available to support your professional development.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active North Carolina SLP license required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, or eligibility as SLP-CF
  • School-based SLP experience or strong clinical background
  • Skills or background with Autism Spectrum Disorder (AU) and low cognitive disabilities preferred
  • Commitment to serving a caseload of up to 35 students
  • Flexibility to work in the East or Southern region of the district
  • SLPA candidates are not being considered at this time

Position Details & Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and therapy to students with a variety of communication and language challenges
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other service providers to support student progress
  • Engage in regular documentation and progress reporting
  • Adapt therapy methods to suit diverse student needs and communicate strategies clearly to stakeholders
  • Manage a caseload determined in collaboration with district leadership
