Elevate your career as a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist by supporting students’ communication development in a dynamic school contract role. Multiple full-time positions are available for the upcoming academic year working in the east and southern regions, serving diverse student populations and helping shape success across grade levels.

You’ll be empowered to focus on your strengths, as caseload preferences are considered and assignments are discussed during the interview process. Caseloads may include up to 35 students, with a strong preference for clinicians who have experience or interest working with Autism (AU) and students with low cognitive disabilities. District supervision is available for Clinical Fellows (SLP-CF), making this an excellent setting for both experienced and new practitioners. SLPA roles are not available at this time.

Qualifications:

  • Active North Carolina SLP license required (CCC or CF level accepted)
  • Previous school-based experience highly valued, especially with Autism or low cognitive disabilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, and related service providers
  • SLP-CCC strongly encouraged; SLP-CF will be considered with district-provided supervision

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy to a diverse K-12 population
  • Assess, develop, and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, specialists, and families to support student progress
  • Document services provided and track students’ progress toward IEP goals
  • Participate in IEP meetings and staff development as needed
