Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid SLP license in North Carolina or eligible for reciprocity
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
  • Prior experience working in schools or pediatric settings strongly preferred
  • Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt therapy techniques to a wide range of student needs

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students as indicated in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
  • Develop tailored treatment plans and set measurable student goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support classroom success
  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation and progress reporting
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights for student support planning
  • Offer resources and strategies to staff for enhancing communication across the school environment
