What You’ll Need:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Active state licensure or eligibility in North Carolina
- Previous experience working in a school setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and families
- Effective time management and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations to identify student communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized speech and language therapy plans (IEPs/504s)
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to support academic achievement
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with state and federal requirements
- Provide both direct therapy and consultative services as designated in student plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute expertise to support student development
- Stay current with best practices and continuing education in speech-language pathology
