Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current, valid SLP certification and licensure in North Carolina, or eligibility to obtain prior to start
- Previous experience providing therapy in a school environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of best practices in assessment, intervention, and goal-setting for a diverse student population
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy to students as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct evaluation and progress assessments for speech, language, and communication disorders
- Participate in IEP meetings, consult with educational teams, and contribute to intervention plans
- Maintain accurate documentation of services, progress notes, and reports
- Support the learning environment by collaborating on strategies to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere for all students’ academic and personal growth
