Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current, valid SLP certification and licensure in North Carolina, or eligibility to obtain prior to start
  • Previous experience providing therapy in a school environment preferred
  • Strong knowledge of best practices in assessment, intervention, and goal-setting for a diverse student population
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy to students as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Conduct evaluation and progress assessments for speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Participate in IEP meetings, consult with educational teams, and contribute to intervention plans
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services, progress notes, and reports
  • Support the learning environment by collaborating on strategies to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities
  • Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere for all students’ academic and personal growth
