The role requires a commitment of 183 workdays, aligned with the school calendar, offering up to 8 hours per day of in-person services.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a current Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
- Previous experience working in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong understanding of evidence-based intervention techniques
- Comfort with individualized education plans (IEPs) and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions for students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with educators, families, and school teams
- Track student progress, maintain thorough documentation, and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Consult with teachers, parents, and support staff to integrate communication goals into the classroom
- Facilitate group and individual therapy sessions tailored to students’ unique needs
- Participate in eligibility, progress, and transition meetings throughout the academic year
