Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as a speech-language pathologist in a dynamic school environment! This position focuses on PreK and Kindergarten students, providing critical communication interventions to help each child reach their fullest potential.
You’ll join a collaborative onsite team for the 2026-2027 school year, beginning in August and working through early June. Enjoy the chance to make a direct impact on a manageable caseload of approximately 25-35 students, designing and implementing individualized strategies in a supportive educational setting.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid SLP license (will consider out-of-state candidates committed to obtaining California licensure)
- CCC-SLP credential highly preferred
- Recent experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations
- Strong understanding of child language disorders, assessment techniques, and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with young learners, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Commitment to onsite services—this is not a remote or teletherapy role
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver speech and language therapy tailored for PreK and Kindergarten students
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine individual needs
- Develop and implement comprehensive IEPs and therapy goals
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student progress
- Accurately document activities and maintain compliance with district and state regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and other school support initiatives
