Qualifications and Experience Desired:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathology license for the state of Virginia
  • Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
  • Commitment to immediate credentialing requirements, including VA Dept. of Social Services background check and recent TB test
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with both students and education staff
  • Flexibility and willingness to serve various age groups

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy services tailored to students’ IEP goals
  • Conduct evaluations, maintain thorough documentation, and contribute to eligibility meetings
  • Collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate student progress
  • Adapt interventions for a variety of learning levels and needs within the school district
  • Participate in ongoing professional development as needed
