You'll be supporting students across schools within 45 minutes of Washington DC, with three days each week spent on-site and two days working from home handling meetings, documentation, and virtual therapy.
What You’ll Bring:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Virginia SLP license (required)
- Experience providing speech therapy in school settings is strongly preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with virtual therapy platforms is a plus
- Willingness to complete a VA Department of Social Services background check and TB test promptly
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy, both in-person and virtually, to a varied caseload of school-aged children
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
- Offer consultative services and participate in IEP meetings, both on-site and virtually
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet the diverse needs of students
