Key qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
- Active CCC-SLP certification
- State licensure or eligibility to practice as an SLP in the region
- Prior experience or strong interest in providing services within a school setting
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with fellow educators, parents, and support staff
Primary responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and provide direct therapy for students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, progress reports, and compliance with school and district guidelines
- Consult and collaborate with teachers and families regarding student progress and strategies for academic success
- Participate in IEP meetings, team conferences, and staff development opportunities
- Adapt and modify interventions to best support diverse student needs
- Stay current with best practices in school-based speech therapy and student support
