Key qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
  • Active CCC-SLP certification
  • State licensure or eligibility to practice as an SLP in the region
  • Prior experience or strong interest in providing services within a school setting
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with fellow educators, parents, and support staff

Primary responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and provide direct therapy for students with speech, language, and communication needs
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, progress reports, and compliance with school and district guidelines
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers and families regarding student progress and strategies for academic success
  • Participate in IEP meetings, team conferences, and staff development opportunities
  • Adapt and modify interventions to best support diverse student needs
  • Stay current with best practices in school-based speech therapy and student support
