Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist for a maternity leave assignment, conveniently located near Woodland, WA. This full-time, onsite role runs from 11/16/26 to 1/29/27 and focuses on delivering vital speech therapy services across both traditional resource and RISE programs for students with moderate disabilities. Expect to manage a caseload of approximately 50 elementary-aged students—making a direct and meaningful impact on their communication skills and educational progress.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Washington State SLP license and ESA credential required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Prior experience in school-based settings preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with elementary-aged students, including those with moderate disabilities
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working alongside educators, specialists, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech-language therapy for students within resource and RISE programs
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Implement therapy sessions designed to address communication, language, and social needs
- Collect progress monitoring data and maintain appropriate records
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate regularly with teaching teams and parents
- Support students in achieving their academic and communication goals during the assignment
