This contract opportunity offers the chance to provide speech-language services in a supportive setting close to Woodstock, CT. Both certified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) are encouraged to apply and share their unique expertise with young learners.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure or eligibility as either an SLP or SLPA
- Experience or a strong desire to work within school settings
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
- Able to provide assessment, develop treatment plans, and deliver therapy for students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Understanding of IEP processes and compliance with relevant regulations is beneficial
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students as needed
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to each student’s strengths and challenges
- Deliver direct and indirect therapy services, supporting progress toward academic and social goals
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to design and execute effective communication strategies in the classroom
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices
