A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in the Woonsocket and Pawtucket, RI areas, serving both an elementary school and an early learning center. This contract role offers a guaranteed schedule during the current school year (CSY), ideal for professionals with SLP - CFY or SLP - CCC credentials seeking to support pediatric populations in educational settings.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for students ranging from early learning through elementary grade levels.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to enhance communication skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to monitor progress and adjust interventions.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and state regulations.
- Provide support and coverage during maternity leave, lasting 12 to 16 weeks.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an SLP, preferably SLP - CFY or SLP - CCC.
- Experience working with children in school environments is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood and elementary speech pathology practices.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
