You'll work full time, starting as soon as possible and continuing through June 11, 2026, supporting young learners in their communication and academic growth. In this position, responsibilities may include traveling on occasion to a nearby community center within the district to meet the evolving needs of students.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid license and credentials as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC required)
- Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting, especially at the elementary level
- Enrolled and in good standing with the Rhode Island Medicare program
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
- Passion for making a difference by helping students achieve their speech and language goals
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments and interventions for an elementary caseload
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, staff, and external community resources to maximize student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance with state and federal regulations
- Offer expertise and guidance during IEP meetings and educational planning
- Travel as needed to a community center within the district to deliver direct or consultative services
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all students
