Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current, active SLP license in Texas
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
  • Previous experience delivering speech services in school settings
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
  • Commitment to fostering students’ academic, social, and emotional growth

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy to students as outlined in their IEPs
  • Serve a diverse caseload split between junior high and elementary campuses, with additional coverage at the high school from late September to mid-November
  • Conduct speech and language assessments, develop therapy plans, and document progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure comprehensive support
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to team discussions, and maintain compliant records
  • Adapt therapy materials and strategies to meet individual student needs
  • Uphold ethical and professional standards in line with school district policies

This contract runs from now until November 19th, helping schools cover key staff absences and ensuring continuity of care for students. Flexibility and adaptability across different age groups and school environments are essential.
