Key qualifications and desired experience:
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Valid state speech-language pathology licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- Prior experience working in school-based settings preferred
- Understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to engage and motivate students in individual and group settings
Essential responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and provide speech, language, and communication assessments for K-12 students
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for IEP development and progress monitoring
- Deliver therapy tailored to student goals, needs, and service minutes
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with state and federal requirements
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and administrators for optimal student support
- Participate in meetings and professional development as needed
